Overview
Signal Notes is a work-in-progress placeholder for a personal knowledge tool. Document the research questions and prototypes that matter most.
Problem
Existing note apps either hid structure behind proprietary formats or made linking feel secondary to folders.
Approach
Plain markdown files remain the source of truth. A local index maintains link graphs and full-text search without locking content into a proprietary database.
Status
Actively prototyping search ranking and backlink UX. Public release is not scheduled.
